Starters

 Veloute of pumpkin and crispy shallots with white truffle oil and crusty bread roll

A tian of avocado, crab and prawns Marie rose with pea tops and mango

Carpaccio of venison with rocket and Parmesan salad, shallot and red wine dressing

 A terrine of ham, foie gras and guinea fowl with quince jelly and toasted brioche


Mains

 Roast Somerset free range turkey with sage and onion stuffing, sausage wrapped in bacon, roast potatoes and fresh vegetables and turkey gravy

Roast sirloin of beef with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, fresh vegetables and a red wine gravy

Baked halibut viennoise with a grain mustard sabayon and crushed new potatoes

 White stilton and apricot cheese, broccoli, spinach and mushroom en croute with cranberry sauce and new potatoes

 Pan roasted Creedy Carver duck breast with spicy gooseberry jus, rosti potatoes, wilted spinach and parsnip crisps


Sweets

 Homemade Christmas pudding with dark rum sauce and brandy butter

Apple and cinnamon tart tatin with cognac ice cream

Twice baked toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream

Blackcurrant charlotte with Chantilly cream

 A selection of local cheeses with "Fudges of Stalbridge" biscuits and quince jelly

 

Where possible our food is locally sourced and free range/organic.  It is freshly prepared and made here at the Crown and Victoria Inn.  If you have any specific dietary needs please let us know.
