Nestled in the beautiful Somerset village of Tintinhull, lies The Crown and Victoria Inn, a free house that celebrates traditional village pub life run by Isabel and Mark since 2006.
Inside is full of rustic charm with farmhouse tables, stone walls and a large traditional fire place.
There are several areas for either dining from the ever changing seasonal led menu or enjoying a drink from the bar featuring great local ales, ciders and an impressive choice of spirits.
There is also a light and charming Conservatory which is perfect for Weddings and other special occasions.
The Inn has five four star, AA rated bedrooms, and has won and maintained an AA rosette for its food every year since 2008.
Outside boasts one of the largest beer gardens in the area, surrounded by trees and shrubs with plenty of tables for alfresco visits as well as a lawned space further back large enough for a Marquee.
"Here for a Xmas lunch with 20 friends from a club. Plenty of parking, lovely picturesque pub both in and outside. Easy to find. The meal was served in the conservatory which was nicely presented. The food was beautifully prepared and was piping hot, something you don't always get with group meals. Nothing was too much trouble and all dietary requirements were catered for without any drama. Serving staff were excellent and so efficient. Beer was good and the overall cost was very reasonable. Will return either as a couple and in a group. - Paul H"
The menu utilises ingredients predominantly grown, reared and produced locally including vegetables and animals from Tintinhull as well as the pubs own pigs, turkeys and quail.
Coupled with the use of foraged ingredients, local seasonal game and even river fish owner Mark catches himself, the team creates dishes using traditional methods such as smoking, curing, pickling and drying resulting in an enjoyable dining experience for their guests.
